bne on CEER’s consultation on Dynamic Regulation to Enable Digitalisation of the Energy System

The consultation paper elaborates on the implications of digitalisation for the energy sector and for consumers in particular

In March 2019, the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) took the initiative to consult on their understanding of the potential value propositions provided by Digitalisation and the enablers to achieve them. CEER also set out a range of draft regulatory proposals related to Digitalisation and welcomed feedback on those.

Digitalisation is one of the 3 pillars of CEER’s Strategy for the period 2019-2021. The consultation paper elaborates on the implications of digitalisation for the energy sector and for consumers in particular, directly through their consumption and production or indirectly through upstream productivity. It considers the changes that might be needed to empower and unlock benefits for consumers and to protect them against risks. bne is providing input to help regulators prioritise the actions they can take to benefit consumers over the course of their 3-year strategy.

In this section you find CEER’s original consultation document and bne’s response.
